In the footsteps of Marco Polo

Article A Culinary Journey with Le Petit Chef

“In the Footsteps of Marco Polo” is a Culinary Journey with Dinner Time Stories and Le Petit Chef at The Royal Elephant.

Embark on a gastronomic adventure like never before! In our latest escapade, we had the privilege of experiencing the enchanting “In the Footsteps of Marco Polo” show by Dinner Time Stories SA & Le Petit Chef SA at The Royal Elephant Hotel. This immersive culinary journey transcends ordinary dining, promising a feast for the senses.

On arrival, we were welcomed with a refreshing custom Gin cocktail, that offered a bit of magic and a surprise in itself, but we won’t ruin the surprise for you, but we are sure you will be as pleased as we were!

The evening then began with a magical atmosphere, each moment meticulously crafted to transport us along the famous Silk Road. Le Petit Chef took us through the savoury spices of India, the succulent seafood of the Mediterranean, and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, all from our luxurious table setting at The Royal Elephant Hotel in Centurion.

A symphony of flavours

The menu, inspired by Marco Polo’s travels, offered a symphony of flavours. From earthy tagines and aromatic curries to fresh seafood and fusion desserts, each dish was a revelation and a masterpiece in itself. The clever integration of props, soundtracks, and scents allowed us to breathe the icy air of the Himalayas one moment and feel the vibrant energy of an Arabic souk the next.

China, in particular, stood out with its attention to detail and spectacular presentation. The staff’s dedication added an extra layer to the already fascinating experience. It’s not just a dining event, it’s an exploration of childhood wonder and a unique way to have fun while enjoying exceptional food.

Our senses were fully engaged as we savoured the tastes of the story, accompanied by sights, sounds, and aromas that heightened the overall experience. The performance and food left us speechless, and the attentive staff made the evening truly memorable.

In conclusion, “In the Footsteps of Marco Polo” with Le Petit Chef is not merely for diners but for adventurers seeking a magical and remarkable night out. It’s an unforgettable journey of flavours and memories.
