Hosted at the exquisite Blueberry Hill Hotel located in the picture-perfect suburb of Honeydew in Johannesburg North! This worldwide renowned dining experience is well-deserving of its global acclaims and accolades!

Before jumping into this review, we would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Chef extraordinaire Paul Rouessart, for allowing us the privilege to experience the magical event that is Dinner Times Stories!

AMBIANCE & ATMOSPHERE: 5-STARS

The level of attention to detail and the finesse used in the décor creates one of a kind experience and sets the tone for what is to be a visually immersive experience!

Mood lighting sets the stage for a welcoming atmosphere. A combination of soft yet distinct French classic music played in the background together with a live musician created a vibrant atmosphere!

The entire ambience and atmosphere awaken all your senses. It’s one of those moments in life that truly needs to be experienced to be appreciated!

The check-in station is beautifully designed and included a selection of Pongracz champagne to welcome guests. We thought this was a thoughtful touch!

It must also be mentioned that they adhere to all Covid protocols. The Le Petit Chef goes over and above, to make sure his guests are comfortable and safe!

There was a buzz of excitement, delight, and anticipation in the air for what was to come!

STAFF: 5-STARS

To our delight, all staff members involved in the production of this world-class experience went out of their way to make you feel like the most important person in the WORLD, never mind just the room! There was what seemed to be an endless brigade of staff assisting and serving each guest throughout the night. All interaction with a staff member left you with a smile on your face and a feeling of complete satisfaction! It almost felt like we were transported to a magical place.

MANAGEMENT: 5-STARS

Each guest had a one-on-one experience with Le Petit Chef who is the main man himself! Patrons are constantly being checked on by the hotel’s management staff. Simply put this management team are in a league of their own and only add to the already exceptional experience!

MENU KNOWLEDGE: 5-STARS

Make sure you go to this event hungry! The exceptional 6-course menu will not leave you wanting for anything. In addition to the world’s smallest chef giving you a one-of-a-kind experience before each course, the knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer any questions you might have regarding any of the mouth-watering dishes!

PS there is a bonus included in the experience! You will have to book a night with Dinner Time Stories yourself to learn more about this hidden gem!

PRESENTATION: 5-STARS

This is another area that makes the Dinner Time Stories an unmatched experience. It is unique and unlike anything you have or will ever experience! The creativity in the presentation is on a level of its own. Each course is a theatrical extravaganza and something to behold! As each course is served there is a sea of smartphones being taken out to capture the picture-perfect moments for prosperity!

TASTE: 5-STARS

The Le Petit Chef stayed true to his concept of au naturel and this can be tasted in the freshness of the ingredients used. Each course is not only a flavour journey for your palate but also ticks all the other boxes. Each dish is a standout masterpiece of culinary perfection that stimulates all the senses! The flawless execution of magnificent dish after dish elevates the entire experience into a magical event that words cannot even begin to explain.

Boschendal Wine Pairing
An incredible selection of the finest ambrosia – Good enough to impress the Greek Gods!

Hors d’oeuvre
Anything but your average garden salad – Light, fresh, and surprisingly unique.

Amuse-gueule
A tantalizing sip of the sea – A soup that’s sure to surprise and satisfy.

Entrées
Chick-a-licious treat – Maybe the chicken crossed the road to get to flavour town!

A Fillet flavour sensation – Fire, meat, and fries! What more could you want?

An undersea fantasy– Forget Poseidon, Le Petit Chef is the new King of the sea!

PS we were very impressed with their vegetarian dishes. All dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Desservir
A luxurious and indulgent sweet feast – Your happy place on a plate!

All we can say is ooh la la, the world’s smallest chef has blown us away!

Le Petit Chef did not hold anything back in ensuring Dinner Time Stories leaves you with an overall experience that you will cherish for a lifetime.
